- Your brief. Grade, taste, price limit, quantity, packing and port. A sample of the tea you buy today is the best brief.
- Shortlist and tasting. Each week we go through the auction catalogue, and our tea taster, Osama Al-Hamdi, tastes the lots that fit.
- You approve. You see the shortlist with each lot’s details and agree a price limit.
- We bid. We bid up to your limit and report the price of every lot we win.
- Blend, pack, ship. We blend to your recipe, pack in bulk or under your brand, prepare the export documents and ship to your port.
What you see and what you pay
- The auction price of every lot we buy for you.
- The export levy, 0.8% of the auction value, and the actual costs of warehousing, packing, documents and freight.
- Our service fee, agreed in writing before we start. It depends on the scope: buying only, or blending, packing, branding and shipping as well.

Why buy through an agent
Every lot is different, and prices move every week. Tasting before bidding keeps your quality steady. Buying across many factories spreads the risk of a poor lot. Seeing the auction price of every lot lets you check what you paid against the market.

Questions
Can you buy Kenyan tea outside the auction?
Kenyan law requires CTC tea for export to be sold at the auction. Orthodox and specialty teas can be bought directly from estates, and we do both.
Do I see the real auction prices?
Yes. Buying-service clients see the auction price of every lot we buy for them, with the lot details from the catalogue.
What does the service cost?
A service fee agreed with you before we start, on top of the auction price and the actual costs. It depends on the scope of work.
